Let me start off by saying that staff at Idaho Sports have really stepped up their game this year. Very in depth articles and it shows that you really know your stuff and that you are invested in all these teams and kids, no matter the division. Thank you.
As for this article, it is missing one big thing, a division between 11-man and 8-man. I have little to no experience when it comes to 8-man. The ruled and strategies are different. However, the biggest thing I see, is high scoring games. Games that end 77-28 are a regular occurrence. If you have a stud at QB, RB or QB/WR, there really is no stopping how high you can run it up. In 11-man, you have to have 8-11 studs or your opponent has to have 3-5 duds for you to out up that kind if score differential.
So when you calculate best 20 teams in Idaho for point differential, maybe do top 10 in 8-man and then top 10 for 11-man in the future.
In no way is what I said a dig at 8-man or its players and coaches. I believe 8-man has produced some of the best players ever, out of Idaho.
I'm really curious on the math for Potlatch...going through their schedule this year through 4 games, they have given up 124 points. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't 124 points divided by 4 games = 31 OPP, and not 14? Is there something I'm missing here in this equation?
