#1 ranked Fruitland is really looking good at this point in the season. They have been dominant so far in conference play. Tomorrow against Parma will be an interesting match but predicting Fruitland will roll on them and go undefeated through districts.

It will be tough to beat Fruitland this year. I read in the paper that Parma had a starter out and was missing an additional player last night due to the flu. They did a nice job keeping it close for a while, but ran out of gas late. There are some interesting teams in 3A, but the Grizzlies definitely seem like the pretty clear favorites. In eastern Idaho, Teton is coming off a 73-68 OT win over Snake River and plays Sugar-Salem at home on Saturday. If they win that one too it would be a good statement win for a much improved team. They could make some noise at state.
Fruitland's biggest strengths are their depth and athleticism. Parma was able to hang around, in part because they shot 60 percent from downtown and Fruitland didn't shoot the ball all that well in the middle quarters. Parma's 2 losses have now come in league play, but if the 3 ball is working for them, they could be a very dangerous team. As for the rest of the state, the North appears to be way down compared to the last few years. As for the eastern teams (includes District 4), there doesn't really seem to be a clearcut favorite. Snake, Sugar, Teton, and Kimberly have been beating up on each other.
