For the district tournament if thee is a tie in the conference they will use head to head. Then iif teams split or there is a three way tiebreaker logjam they will do a coin flip for seeding. Everyone plays in the tournament so you still go anyway.
However besides coin flips there are other ways to do tiebreakers I seen that are better. Some cases you can do how they did against the second place team, third place team and on down the line.
if that no longer works some conferences have done how you did against common ouc opponents. And even idahosports or max preps power rankings can help as well.
With every football classification except 5a and 1ad2 using max preps for seeding we won,t see anymore ore Kansas City tiebreaker playoffs. When every team goes to the playoffs they do coin toss anyway. Only used that when a team will be eliminated.
Better ways to do tiebreakers when head to head is not applicable than a coin flip I think.
