1. Hillcrest
2. Skyline
3. Idaho Falls
4. Blackfoot
5. Bonneville
6. Shelley
Any thoughts since playoff time is nearing? Idaho Falls picked up a huge win against Blackfoot two weeks ago to finally get a conference win. Shelley, Idaho Falls and Blackfoot need to pick up crucial wins. Bonneville looked like they were doing okay up until the beating at home against the Broncos. Shelley still struggling to find itself. Hillcrest and Skyline still the cream of the crop. Skyline lost two straight but still can't count them out.
Shelley has been a little better than I expected them to be... Maybe switch Shelley and Bonneville, but that is like saying who is last in the district?
Summertime, Bonneville already beat Shelley. So in my book that puts Shelley at the bottom. Bonneville played an aggressive style defense that most teams should be able to exploit, but Shelley just couldn't seem to do it. Shelley needs to win their last two games vs IF and Blackfoot to even have a sniff of a chance to make the playoffs. Shelley has played everyone tough but is lacking that little something to get them over the top. Ravsten good luck this Friday as the taters take on the tigers.
On a side note Shelley would be sitting tied for 1st in the 5th district, already beating Preston and Poky. Maybe they should petition to move down to the 5th :)
As for the other teams, Hillcrest is by far the most physical team and will play ball control the whole game. I watched them online vs Shelley and they just ran all over the top of Shelley. (Shelley needs to work on their kick coverage as Hillcrest ran two kick-offs back for TD's) Skyline has a lot of talent and a great coaching staff that scheme well. I don't know much about the other two teams IF and Blackfoot.
Sorry Forest I am a 5th guy.... I remembered them beating Pocatello and Preston (lower ranks of the fifth) missed the Bonneville game.... Century and Minico may have something to say also
Definitely Forrest. I think Shelley is still trying to find out who they are. As far as I.F. goes, it just depends on which team shows up. They have won two straight. Should be an interesting game with major playoff implications.
1: Hillcrest ( my favorite to win the state title)
2: Skyline
The only two teams I feel could make a run at the title from East Idaho 4A.
Big loss for District 6 -
Top-ranked Hillcrest (6-1, 4-0 4A District 6) will be without star running back Jordan Neuerburg, who is out for the season with a knee injury suffered Sept. 21 against Rigby.
Hillcrest rolled over Blackfoot tonight. Idaho Falls wins convincingly over the Russets. When I got to the game, the score was 21-14 Idaho Falls. It was all Tigers after that and their star player Cameron Conrad had a 72 yard touchdown at the end of quarter 3.
