Just a question. Madison, Rigby, and Thunder Ridge also have 5A all-conference with Highland. Does 6th district 4A have their own or is the HCC their only conference?
The PR excludes Highland from all of their all conference teams. If they call it HCC - I wish that the would include Highland other wise they should call it the district 6 all conference....
Yea, I've seen this both ways though. I was looking at past all state teams and a Pocatello newspaper only had district 5 teams listed in 2015 for "South East" Idaho. District 6 teams can't put Northeast and also can't put East without including district 5.
So the papers who publish these things need to be more clear or include all of East Idaho in both papers.
And here is the 5A district 5-6. Again I don't quite agree or understand how Rigby, Madison, and Thunder Ridge get to be part of two all-conference selections. But it is what it is.
Just a way to get more kids recognized I guess. Anyone not on this list that was on the other? Or any POY honors that went to Madison, Rigby or Thunder Ridge in first one but to Highland in this one?
Karson Hastings, Madison got 1st Team RB in District 5-6 5A All-Conference while getting 1st Team WR in the HCC All-Conference.
Spencer Hathaway, Madison got 1st Team TE in HCC All-Conference while not getting that award in District 5-6 5A All-Conference due to Drake Hill, Highland taking that award.
Mason McWhorter, Madison and Kayden Toldson, Thunder Ridge both did not receive any honors in HCC All-Conference while both receiving District 5-6 5A All-Conference honors.
I dont need to go on and continue my previous post. It pretty much shows that more kids can claim all conference by doing it the way they did. Smart for recruiting and player honors but does kinda make it seem like anyone can just make their own list and claim an honor.
4A and 5A High Country Conference all-conference.

Well that looks like they got all the players on there in a 3 team conference. :)
I would have just put:
1st team Sugar Salem
2nd team South
Honorable mention Teton and saved a meeting between all the coaches.
Well deserved Coach of the Year to Tyler Richins. He is building a great program.
@RunForrest Hahaha good point!
Now just need all state list.
