Perhaps this will liven up things around here... Per a Tweet from Argus Observer Sports reporter Nik Streng, Fruitland head coach Ryan Tracy was absent from tonight's game against New Plymouth. While no official reason was given, he did mention that there was a recently completed investigation by District III.
On a sidenote, this was the first time since 2005 that Fruitland and New Plymouth faced off. In days gone by, the two were natural rivals owing to their proximity, plus being in the same conference for most of each school's existence, before Fruitland hit a growth spurt and moved to the SRV.
Ok-I will bite. What was the investigation about? I don't know much about Fruitland as I follow more 4A and 5A football as I live in Moscow. I do follow some 8 man as one of my son's former coaches coaches at that level. I know Fruitland has a pretty good football program.
A couple of weeks ago, it was discovered that Emmett's head coach happened to have copies of Weiser's plays for their September 4th matchup. A potential source for those plays is Tracy. Unfortunately, the District III Board has not commented on the source of said plays, and any relevant Fruitland official is currently pleading the Fifth on the matter.

The Fruitland coach should be FIRED! It will come out how he got the Weiser playbook, which in large part shows his lack of integrity!
Any word on Tracy? Without naming names, Fruitland has had a rough time with coaches and administrators over the last couple years...
The story has kind of gone quiet. Think he served his punishment and life goes on I guess. 2A and 3A are fun divisions to follow.
