I went to the CDA-Borah game last night. Extremely entertaining game. Back-and-forth and back all night.
CDA, probably the most talented of the two, but Borah had a great game plan. Put a ton of pressure the QB, contained, until the end, the CDA offense, and attacked what I think is the CDA defensive weakness. Perimeter secondary is suspect, and Borah speed beat it almost at will. Borah #11 had a great night and had the speed to give CDA defense big problems.
Were it not for an errant, wide left and over the head of the QB for about a 30 yard loss with around two minutes, all Borah needed was one first down to win. But,,,,,,, Couple that with, I won't call it luck, but were it not for a bounce off one player into the hands of another, with less than a minute, and the Vikes probably don't win.
Good teams make those (luck) breaks, and the best team probably won, but IMO, Borah outplayed CDA.
Whats a VIK! Why not a Vyk? Or how about a Vike? Or is it to much to say viking? Does the U fo I counterpart call the vandals "Van"
It's the way they say it. Geez???
I hope you're just being sarcastic?
@chuck ....... in the greater seattle area the high school i attended in the 70s was the Inglemoor "Vikings". I never understood even then why our school would use the same spelling. Im well aware that they were conveying "VIKE" albeit VIK is not truly pronounced "VIKE".... Just some tongue and cheek ranting!
@bngsharp Yeah, I thought so. Hard to believe that someone would seriously whine about it?
Very good compliment to Borah...I watched most of the 2nd half after getting back from the Mtn. View/Post Falls game and noted they played extremely hard. After a season filled with injuries that would have decimated most if not all teams Borah showed they could not only adapt but take their toughness to the next level. Any coach would be proud of those boys.
Yeah, I was talking to a VP, and I think the AD and they were telling me about all of the injuries. Too bad, I thought that they deserved to win.
