Fruitland gets a bye before facing Gooding.
Homedale at Melba- Homedale got off a good start, cruising to a 50-0 win over New Plymouth. Melba meanwhile got ground down by West Jefferson and their **** sniffer offense in a 29-14 loss. Melba can't keep up with Homedale, and the Trojans roll to a 42-7 win.
Weiser at Gooding- The Wolverines got off to a great start, beating Buhl 24-7 in Tom Harrison's debut. Unfortunately for them, Gooding is in another universe, and Weiser doesn't have the firepower to keep up, as the high octane Senators roll to a 41-14 win.
Parma vs Vale, Oregon- Parma got blown out by Gooding to start things off. Vale is usually a fairly consistent playoff team in Oregon, and has a long and storied past, with 11 state championships and 15 title game appearances. They had a solid season last year, before getting blown out in the quarterfinals to eventual runner up Santiam Christian. It looks like the Vikings have some big kids on the line this year, and even though I don't know a whole lot about Vale this year, I trust them more than Parma, and the Viking ship sails to a 34-20 win.
Payette at New Plymouth- Both teams got off to, well, not the best starts, being outscored by a 106-0 margin in their opening games. While New Plymouth isn't going to scare anyone in 2A, they have a better culture than Payette right now. New Plymouth gets the win, 30-14.
