One of the tougher Tri States that Ive seen. Ridge Lovett wins his 4th pins Fargo Champ in finals and is OW. Romero is a man among boys winning 98s.Take note 3A Isaiah Evens from Timberlake looks tougher than ever finishing 3rd In a loaded wt class with State Champs from at least 3 different states, knocking off Edelblute and Jesson from Idaho In the process. Reyes from Priest River Runner up at 220!! Where did that kid come from?? Wow! Cda’s freshman Giulio looked like a man hanging tough at 152 and making the podium.
What a tournament! 98 lbs Roddy Romero is a well deserved champ, 120 lbs Kase Mauger and Alex Edelblute compete together, Kase falls short of placing while Edelblute finishes third. 126 Evans of Timberlake is putting in the work, knocking off Sam Edelblute. 132 Lovett dominates, knocking off Fargo champ. 145 Krishnek makes the trip up and takes a well deserved 4th. I didnt pay much attention to the upper weights... a tough tournament and fun to keep track off
This is the best tournament. I wish more teams from the South would come see some stacked brackets. The North always gets a bad rap for not having tough competition. This is awesome.
Wierd to say no tough competition for the North. I’m pretty sure the 5A State Champs have been from the north 7 of the last 10 years, and spread out over 3 of the 4 teams. I think Lakeland has finished in the top 4 the last 4 years, and Lakeland in a legitimate 4A school with real 4A numbers competing against some much bigger schools. With Eastern Washington And Western Montana right next door the competition is plenty tough. However within the district it is limited since there is only 4 teams in 5A and 3 in 4A. But whatever it is it working out for 4A and 5A in the North. Tristate is the toughest tournament in the state any given year, trading off with Rollie.
