The tri-state tournament was held this weekend. And many of Idaho’s studs wrestled tough as nails. Post Falls (naturally) finished on top with the team title. Please let me know if there are any more stories or wrestlers I forget. Here’s a quick rundown on the different weights:
98- Skyla Zimmerman of Moscow takes 4th, Paniagiua of CDA takes 5th, and Matt Williams of Lakeland took 8th.
106-Bremer of Lewiston takes out Romero of PF in the semis. Bremer ends up in 2nd with Romero 3rd.
113- Caden Hess of Lake City has a good tournament and ends up with a 4th place finish.
120- Braxton Mason finishes up with an 8th place finish.
126- Definitely one of the harder weights(if not the hardest). Alex Edelbute finishes 6th. Lane Reardon of Post Falls had a good weekend and finished up 7th. Isaiah Evans narrowly misses placing after a close loss to Alex Edebute.
132- Congratulations to the Tri State Champion of post falls Isaac Jessen. Jessen wrestled a tough tournament and came out on top. Hunter Schueller of CDA finishes 6th in a couple close matches.
138- New to Idaho this year, congrats to CDA’s Drew Roberts on his 2nd Tri State title. Blake Beal of Skyview takes third. Riley Siegford of Lakeland finishes 4th.
145- Another one of the toughest weights, AJ Delarosa finishes with a 5th place finish with Nolan Randles taking 6th behind him.
152- Rhonin Edwards of Lakeland finishes 5th and Ethan Miller of Post Falls finishes 6th.
160- Congrats to CDA’s second champion, sophomore Gunner Guilio. Gunner finished on top of a tough weight.
170- Congratulations to Lakeland’s Colton Boettcher. Boettcher finished first, beating Kenon Brown of Potlatch 7-5 in a close finals match. Seth Nutting of Lake City takes 5th, and Damon Shaw of Lewiston takes 6th.
182-Reuben Thill of Lewiston takes 6th and Joey Follini of Timberlake takes 7th.
195- Mahlon Clark of Lake City takes 6th, and Isaiah Laguna of Post Falls takes 7th.
220- Tyler Cook of Post Falls takes 6th.
285-Josiah Lara of Skyview takes 2nd place.
